An Invitation to join The heART Project
One day I was out walking with a friend who was dealing with a Whole List of health and emotional issues. I was trying to encourage him to get out more and enjoy the healing powers of exercise and nature when a little girl came up to us with a bouquet of yellow roses and gave me one. Her Mom explained to me that her daughter decided she wanted to spend her afternoon giving flowers to others, to cheer them up.
This little angel had no idea the impact her gesture would make.
I turned to my friend and told him the rose was meant for him and it was no accident that this little sweetheart had crossed our path today. It brought tears to his eyes and he began to shake with emotion. He had been feeling so down and so deeply depressed and in an instant this child’s gesture totally changed all that. He stood there speechless, with tears of joy streaming down his cheeks and a huge smile on his face.
This little girl had touched his heart deeply, as she had mine. I smiled at her mother and she smiled back and they turned and walked on, intent on their mission.
There was no need to chat.
We had made a heart connection.
And that moment was something we will all remember.
People never forget the kindheartedness of others.
I certainly never forgot this incident and while exploring the concepts for Think Wholistic, I thought we needed to find ways to share our hearts, because the path to true health always starts with the heart.
If something doesn’t come from the heart, what good is it?
The world is in such turmoil and we are surrounded by so much unhappiness.
We need more joy.
We need more hearts.
Imagine the impact if each of us would just do one little thing each day to share our hearts.
Thus, evolved the concept of The heART Project.
What if we all shared a little heart each day with someone who could use a little cheering up?
What if we all shared a little heart each day with those who do something kind or give us great service?
What if we shared our hearts more with those we love or even with a total stranger?
That is what The heART Project is all about.
We are asking our artistic partners to share a heart drawing for us to share with our Think Wholistic community. We will be offering these free downloads to our subscribers, and as our Think Wholistic partnerships grow, we will send more and more of their heARTistic creations to you through our newsletters.
These hearts will be black and white drawings you can download and color to add your own creative twist. You can even add a note, a quote, or your name on the back if you wish. Take a heart with you each day and find someone to share it with.
Not only will sharing these hearts help put a smile on the face of those who receive them, you will feel the joy of doing something heartfelt for others.
If you would like to join the The heART Project, please register for our newsletter and you will get access to your first free download. If you fall in love with any particular design(s), please check out our Artists Page and learn more about the artist who created that heart. You might want to send them a heartfelt thankyou note as well or be interested in some of their other artwork.
Artists who would like to become a part of The heART Project should contact our artistic coordinator, Elizabeth.firstname.lastname@example.org to learn how to become a Think Wholistic Artistic partner.
Here is a little sample of what kind of hearts you can expect.
To share your experiences with the heART project, please send Elizabeth a note if you would like to share your heart-story with the Think Wholistic Community.
From our hearts to your,
The Think Wholistic Team
